Deadpool 3 is set to come out in the spring of 2024, and Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine, is still working hard on it.
Hugh Jackman, an actor, has been telling his fans about his workouts ever since it was reported that he would be in Deadpool 3. This new version shows how dedicated the Logan star is once more. Brad Pitt, Jennifer Garner, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Rob Delaney, Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, Shioli Kutsuna, Brianna Hildebrand, Karan Soni, Leslie Uggams, and Stefan Kapicic will all be in the new superhero movie. Shawn Levy will direct it. A lot of people have made guesses about what will happen in Deadpool 3, but not much is known about the plot yet.
While work on Deadpool 3 was put on hold because of the WGA and SAG strikes (the latter of which is still going on), the group has still been able to hang out together and Jackman has still been able to give his fans workout updates.
The X-Men actor posted a short video of himself on Twitter (aka X) with the description "Hurts so good." Jackson tries to look serious in the video before he starts to laugh out loud. Take a look below:
Hugh Jackman has given us several looks at his Wolverine workout.
Jackman has talked in the past about the strict workout routine he uses to get into shape for his role as Wolverine. In a recent interview with The Guardian, Jackman talked about returning as Wolverine for Deadpool 3, even though he had planned for 2017's Logan to be his last movie as the character. He also talked about why he wanted to work with Reynolds on the superhero movie. The actor said these things about how he felt about leaving the role for good:
"No, I wasn't hurt. It didn't hurt me badly. All the time, Ryan and other people asked me to play the part again, but I told them, "I'm done.""
But Jackman said that the chance to work on Deadpool 3 with Reynolds was just too good to pass up, even though he had originally wanted to stop playing Wolverine. What did the Les Misérables star say?
"It felt right in my gut that I should do it... Every day I get to beat up Ryan Reynolds."
A lot of information about Deadpool 3 is still secret, but the movie's director, Shawn Levy, has already talked about one part of the Marvel characters that won't be ignored. Levy said in a recent interview that the planned superhero movie won't ignore Fox's work with Marvel. What the director said:
"Deadpool and Wolverine are famous Marvel characters. More specifically, they are famous Marvel characters from the Fox era." We're not going to act like, "Oh, we just snap our fingers and that Fox legacy doesn't exist anymore. It shaped a lot of what we now know as the MCU." It was Fox that helped Ryan, Hugh, and I get jobs. That's a lot of history, and Fox has a lot of history with Marvel. And yes, that is part of our story."
Deadpool 3 is set to come out on May 3, 2024, as of right now.
