The only show to have its contract renewed for a fourth season is "Murders in the Building"

Only Murders in the Building will return for a fourth season, as Hulu has confirmed the show's renewal.

Only Murders in the Building, one of the most popular shows on Hulu, has just been given the green light for a fourth season. The streaming service made the announcement via social media and provided confirmation that "Only Murders in the Building is returning for Season 4! The trip that the three of them have been on is not yet over. The announcement comes on the same day that the season three finale of Only Murders in the Building is going to be made available for streaming on Netflix. The wonderful trio of Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez will be starring in the film.

Only Murders in the Building is an original series that premiered on Hulu in the year 2021. It tells the story of three strangers who gradually learn that they are all fascinated by real-life murders. They had just started a podcast together when all of a sudden, they discovered that they were involved in a true crime of their own. The three friends are convinced that a gruesome murder took place in their upscale apartment building on the Upper West Side. They use their extensive expertise in true crime to conduct an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

Steve Martin plays the role of Charles-Haden Savage, a semi-retired actor who was once the star of a popular 1990s crime drama. Martin Short plays Oliver Putnam, an ambitious Broadway director who has yet to find success on stage. Selena Gomez plays Mabel Mora, a young artist. The comedy/mystery series was created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman.

The first two seasons of Only Murders in the Building have been a huge success for Hulu. The show's core three characters, the show's ability to strike the ideal mix between comedy and solving mysteries, as well as the crowd-pleasing cameos, have all received a great deal of praise. The sitcom has also been nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series, and both Steve Martin and Martin Short have been nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for their respective roles on the show.

Only the Creator of "Murders in the Building" Wants to Extend the Show Past a Fourth Season

Only co-creator John Hoffman has previously broached the subject of a possible fourth season of Murders in the Building, and he is already looking beyond the fourth installment in the series. In response to the question of how many seasons the show will have, Hoffman said...

"As many as they can get away with having us for! I do not mean it in jest. This is one of those shows in which everyone engaged in it is so delighted to be doing it – and I know that I speak for the trio as well as everyone else – and I think that sums it up pretty well. When you have lightning in a bottle in this fashion, and then there is this magnetizing force of amazing skill who say, "Wow, that looks like fun. ", then you have a recipe for success. I would be thrilled to be a part of something like that. I pray that it blesses it with a long and fruitful life.

The terrible cliffhanger that was left at the end of the second season of Only Murders in the Building is picked up by the most recent series of the show. Oliver Putnam, played by Martin Short, was a failing Broadway director until he directed his own play, which brought him renown. Unfortunately, his happiness does not last long because the principal actor, Ben Glenroy, unexpectedly passes away while the performance is in progress.

Meryl Streep, winner of multiple Academy Awards, and Paul Rudd, a popular character actor known for his humorous roles, joined the cast in the third season of Only Murders in the Building. The season three finale will premiere on October 3, 2018.
